Shipping policy
DOMESTIC SHIPPING & DELIVERY TERMS
1. STRICTLY DOMESTIC DELIVERY ONLY
Urban Yuppi strictly delivers to physical addresses within the borders of the Republic of South Africa only. We do not offer international shipping, and we do not deliver to PO Boxes. Any international orders placed will be automatically rejected or cancelled, and any payments received will be refunded. Surcharges may apply to remote South African areas, plots, farms, or high-security zones.
2. POST-CHECKOUT DELIVERY COST CALCULATION
Because our custom furniture, handcrafted decor, and homeware items vary significantly in shape, size, scale, and weight, shipping costs cannot be calculated automatically by a generic web algorithm at checkout.
- At checkout, your delivery line item will display as R0.00 / Pending.
- Upon receipt of your order request, our team will manually calculate the safest and most cost-effective courier rate or direct transport fee based on your specific physical location, item dimensions, and total volumetric weight.
- A separate delivery charge invoice will be emailed to you within 24 to 48 business hours.
- Production, custom manufacturing, or product dispatch will only commence once this separate shipping invoice has been settled in full.
3. LOCAL DEPLOYMENT & TIME CLASSIFICATIONS
For specialized heavy transport within the KwaZulu-Natal region, Urban Yuppi may deploy its own internal fleet vehicles. These transport and logistics charges are itemised to cover bulk fuel costs (diesel prices factored at delivery date), vehicle wear, and professional handling time away from our showrooms. Standard online orders are executed within 30 days after full payment is received, unless an alternative custom production timeline is explicitly agreed upon.
4. RISK ALLOCATION
Goods remain at Urban Yuppi’s risk until physical delivery is accepted by the customer or an authorised recipient at the designated South African address. If the customer independently appoints and controls a third-party transporter outside Urban Yuppi's standard checkout process, risk transfers to the customer immediately upon collection by that transporter.
5. FAILED DELIVERY AND ACCESS FEES
The customer is responsible for ensuring reasonable physical access for delivery vehicles and personnel. If a delivery fails because you provided an incorrect address, are absent during the agreed delivery window, or deny access to courier staff, you will be held liable for the direct costs of courier storage, return-to-sender loops, and subsequent re-delivery fees.
