REFUND & RETURN POLICY
CONSUMER RIGHTS, WARRANTIES, & RETURNS

1. STATUTORY 7-DAY COOLING-OFF RIGHT (ECTA)
In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), a consumer is entitled to cancel an online transaction without reason and without penalty within 7 days of receiving the goods.
- The customer is solely responsible for the direct cost and transit risk of safely returning the goods to Urban Yuppi.
- Goods must be securely returned in their original packaging to either our Shelly Beach or Johannesburg showrooms.
- Urban Yuppi will process your full refund within 30 days of the cancellation notice.
- Statutory Exceptions: This change-of-mind cooling-off right strictly does not apply to goods made to the customer’s unique specifications, special orders, or clearly personalised items.

2. DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED GOODS (CPA 6-MONTH WARRANTY)
If your goods are defective, unsafe, unsuitable for their intended purpose, or materially different from their description within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to direct Urban Yuppi to either repair the item, replace the item, or issue a full refund under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
- Please inspect your items immediately upon arrival. Visible transit or courier damage must ideally be reported within 48 hours of delivery to assist courier claims, though failure to do so does not extinguish your statutory rights.
- To assist our investigation, please provide photographs and an accurate description of the defect via email to hello@urbanyuppi.com.
- Qualifying defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied items will be collected and returned at Urban Yuppi's risk and expense.
- Warranty Exclusions: This warranty strictly does not cover damage caused by post-delivery misuse, abuse, structural alterations, commercial use of residential items, failure to follow supplied care instructions, moisture damage, excessive heat/sunlight exposure, or ordinary wear and tear.

3. NATURAL MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS
Many of our designs consist of natural materials (such as timber, stone, leather, or specialist fabrics) or are handcrafted. Reasonable variations in colour, grain, texture, knots, veining, dye lots, and final finish are normal, expected, and form part of the unique character of the product. These unique natural variations do not constitute product defects or flaws, and do not qualify for cost-free CPA returns.
